KYLE PRESTON

I took an interest in photography in 2005 when I bought my first DSLR. In 2006, I went on a cruise to Alaska only knowing the basics of photography.  Fast forward to 2015... I decided that I needed to take my knowledge from a beginner level to a professional level. I enrolled in The New York Institute of Photography and successfully completed an 18 month program. Upon completing the program, my skill level had increased dramatically, but was still not to the professional level that I aspired to achieve. Searching through various social media platforms, I came across a local photographer in Rochester named Jim Montanus. His work intrigued me and I wanted to learn more. After looking up his site, I discovered he taught classes on different types of photography and I signed up for one. Jim has since become a great friend and has helped increase my skill level tenfold.
